Fall Leagues

Baseball in Minnesota has rapidly expanded into various year-round options for every type of player at all skill levels.  Fall leagues have become a popular choice to extend the season and improve as a player, especially as the weather is still nice.   

 

Although ROYBA does not conduct its own league, there are other options available.  Below are details about each league, along with links to additional details and to register your player or team.

MYAS Gopher State

The Gopher State Fall Baseball League is the largest fall baseball league in the upper midwest and hosts over 350 teams each season. We offer three different levels of play for your team to get the most competitive experience possible during your fall season.  See the league website for more detailed descriptions on our levels of play and league format. 

Gopher State Fall Baseball League

  • Two skill levels, ages 9U to 17-19U:
    • Competitive = AAA/ AA level Players/Teams
      • New in 2023- the Competitive Divisions will play a hybrid tournament format! Districts will be divided by geography and the first four games (in-district) will serve as pool play for tiered brackets in week 4.  
    • Recreational = A /Rec Level /In-House Players/Teams
      • 10/11U
      • 12/13U
      • 14/15U
  • 4 week season, Sundays ONLY (Two Games each Sunday): September 10th to October 1st.
  • Game times - varying from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
  • Cost: 
    • Individual Fee: $120per player (Competitive and Recreational Leagues). Majors division is team entry only
    • Team Fee: $1,320 ($120/player w/11 players). 
    • Fee includes a team hat, game baseballs, umpires, league administration, USSSA team membership and USSSA team insurance. 
  • Entry deadline is August 11th,
  • The age determining date for Fall Baseball is May 1st.  Players should register for the age level they will be playing next summer season.

MYAS Gopher State Fall League Checklist

  • Complete individual or team registration by August 11th.
  • Send an email to ROYBA Fall League (see above) with the following information:
    • League level (ex. 14U Competitive; 10U Rec; etc.)
    • Number of total players registered.
    • Do you need equipment? (Yes or No)
    • Do you need fields to host games?
      • NOTE:  ROYBA will coordinate with MYAS regarding field availability, along with the school district and local municipalities’ to secure the necessary permits. 
      • ROYBA will be billed for the field usage and will in turn invoice each team for their share.  If we are not contacted, you may not be able to secure home games.
